That weight saving is what you feel at 2 am, after hours of jerking, when a heavier rod has long since worn your wrist out. The 83ML・K is the out-guide (K) model.
Run-and-gun. 8'3" splits the difference between control and distance for anglers who find 8'6" a touch long. Best with #2.5–3.0 egi, it moves easily along crowded piers and weed-edge shallows, and the ML blank still has the give for a heavy spring squid.
