That matters here: the big autumn and winter squid on the Victorian coast are caught on #3.5 and #4.0 in current, and most light egi rods simply run out of blank. At 91 g it is lighter than the MX IL despite carrying more range, and the internal bore keeps line off the rings entirely. If you fish one interline hard, all season, this is the one worth the money.
