Giragira Kougeki translates roughly as “glittering attack”, and deps built it for one purpose: pulling the biggest predator in the system out of cover. At 370 mm overall — 295 mm of that a flat-sided body — and 330 g floating, it moves a volume of water smaller swimbaits simply cannot, and the flash off those flanks reaches fish holding well outside the strike zone. For Murray cod, big barra, and any impoundment that holds fish worth this much lure.

The mass is the point. A body this size shoves a pressure wave a fish feels through its lateral line long before it sees anything, and the flat flanks turn that into visible flash on every glide.
Rear-set screw-eye joint
deps deliberately used a screw eye rather than a moulded pin, leaving room to tune. The joint sits well back, which is what makes the tail swing so wide on a slow retrieve that the bait briefly disappears from view — that is the trigger.
Detachable wire guard
Comes off in one movement for open water, goes back on for timber and weed. There is a grub screw to lock it down when you are fishing hard cover and cannot afford it to shift.
Three hooks + swivel eye
Three hangers rather than two, and the hook eyes swivel — which stops a big fish levering itself off on a rigid mount. On a bait this expensive, landing the fish that eats it is the entire economics.
Replaceable elastomer tail
Stiff enough to push water rather than just flutter, and it follows the body's action instead of fighting it. Spare tails are sold separately, so a chewed tail is not a dead lure.
