Fitting a counterbalance is the cheapest real upgrade you can make to a single-handle spinning reel. Without one the rotor is heavy on the knob side, and every wind carries a small vibration you stop noticing but never stop feeling. The balancer cancels it and the reel goes quiet — and on a long eging session, quiet is the difference between finishing fresh and finishing sore.
Type 2 is the second-generation body: eight blades laser-cut into the barrel so the light breaks across it like a windmill. Machined from titanium, which is the right material for saltwater and the reason it costs what it does.

Check fitment before ordering. C1 is the common Shimano / Daiwa fitment, but Daiwa's THEORY series takes the C3 type. If the handle feels heavy to turn once fitted, Livre's answer is to move the supplied spacer washer — it ships in the box.
Not a reel stand — do not rest the reel on it. The anodised aluminium cap scratches easily and a damaged thread cannot be undone. Imported Japanese-market model; packaging and manual may be in Japanese. Shipped Australia-wide.
