Shimano 22 Sephia BB C3000SDH Spinning Reel
The 22 Sephia BB is Shimano's dedicated eging reel at the accessible end of the Sephia family, and the double-handle C3000SDH is the one most squid anglers reach for. Twin knobs keep the rotor balanced through hard, repeated jerking and stop the handle flopping over when you pause the retrieve — on a long night of working egi, that is the difference you actually feel.
The body is CI4+ carbon, and it carries core technology from reels well above its price: MicroModule Gear II for a fine, quiet wind, Silent Drive to take the play out of the rotating parts, X-Protect water resistance at the line roller, and a Long Stroke Spool for casting distance. The shallow C3000S spool holds PE 0.8 to 150 m — full capacity, no backing — and the Rapid Fire Drag adjusts in a single twist while a squid is pulling.
