Shimano 26 Sephia BB Spinning Reel
The Sephia BB is Shimano's dedicated eging reel at the accessible end of the range, and it carries technology from reels well above its price: MicroModule Gear II for a fine, quiet wind, Silent Drive and Infinity Drive to take the play and the friction out of the rotating parts, X-Protect water resistance at the line roller, and a Long Stroke Spool for casting distance. Both models are 230 g with a double handle — twin knobs keep the rotor balanced through hard, repeated jerking — and a shallow spool matched to PE 0.6–1.0, so you fill it properly with no backing.
C3000SDH — standard gear
5.1:1 and 75 cm per crank. The deliberate, controlled retrieve most squid anglers prefer.
C3000SDHHG — high gear
5.8:1 and 86 cm per crank — 11 cm more line per turn. Faster pickup after a jerk, snappier egi action, better rhythm on repeated casts.
