Both models run Torzite guide rings (the lightest, hardest ring material available) and a striped ebony wood spacer in the reel seat: the sort of detail that only exists on rods built by someone who cares.
TF-A45LS-1P-TZ — 4'5, one piece
The short one, in a single unbroken piece, which is the whole point. No ferrule means no dead spot, no joint to loosen and no compromise in how the blank recovers — and on a rod this short you feel it on every cast. A small-stream rod for anglers who care more about how a rod feels in the hand than what it costs.
- 4'5 · 1-piece · Lure 2–5 g · Line 3–5 lb · Light
TF-A50ULS-TZ — 5'0, ultra light
The more versatile of the two — a 1–7 g window that covers everything from a 1 g spoon to a 7 g minnow without feeling out of its depth. Two pieces so it travels, but cut and fitted the way a hand-built rod is: the joint sits where the taper can carry through it. For Victorian and Tasmanian stream trout this is close to the ideal size.
