Daiwa 25 Emeraldas AIR LT2500S-DH Spinning Reel
Emeraldas AIR is Daiwa's dedicated eging reel line, and the LT2500S-DH is the one most squid anglers land on — shallow spool, double handle, 170 g. The weight is the point: eging is thousands of sharp jerks in a session, and 170 g on the end of a 100 g rod is the difference between fishing until dawn and packing up at midnight. A Monocoque body keeps the gear box rigid so the crank stays smooth under load, ATD drag gives a soft initial pull that won't tear the hooks out of a squid's mantle, and the shallow spool takes PE 0.6 to 200 m — exactly the fill you want, with no backing to wind on. Twelve bearings and a power-round EVA knob you can turn with wet hands.
