The 26 Emeraldas X Boat 70MS-S・E is Daiwa's entry into it — a 7'0 solid-tip stick built around an Air Sensor reel seat, which puts the blank against your fingers instead of a layer of plastic. For the money, the sensitivity is the point.
At 88 g and 2.13 m it handles 25–90 g of sinker, which covers most of the drift depths you will fish for southern calamari and arrow squid out of a boat or kayak. Two-piece regular joint, packs to 111 cm, comes with a rod bag.
