Yamashita EGI OH K NEONBRIGHT Squid Jig
The NeonBright takes the proven EGI OH K — same Hydro Fin stable fall that gets bites from cagey squid — and adds a UV-reactive body that fires back in blue, red or green instead of the blue-only glow of standard keimura. To your eye it looks like an ordinary jig; under UV it lights up in a colour you can match to the water. Rotating through the three is the quickest way to work out what local squid want on a slow session.
Shallow and Super Shallow types. Blue-eye, blue-feather versions that sink at roughly half and a third the standard rate. Over shallow weed — which is where the better southern calamari sit — a slower drop keeps the jig in front of them for far longer before it fouls.
