The NeonBright takes the proven EGI OH K — same Hydro Fin stable fall that gets bites from cagey squid — and adds a UV-reactive body that fires back in blue, red or green instead of the blue-only glow of standard keimura. To your eye it looks like an ordinary jig; under UV it lights up in a colour you can match to the water. Rotating through the three is the quickest way to work out what local squid want on a slow session.

Yamashita Neon Bright squid jigs glowing blue, green and red in the dark
Neon Bright
Three UV colours, chosen to match water colour rather than light level. Blue for the clear blue water of midsummer and midwinter. Green for the faintly stained green water of spring and autumn. Red for dawn and dusk, when the sky pushes red into the water.
Yamashita Hydro Fin - the clear rudder fin behind the belly of an Egi-Oh K
Hydro Fin
Unchanged from the standard K. The clear tab behind the belly acts as a rudder and takes the wobble out of the drop, so the jig sinks straight even on a windy day with a bow in your line.
Yamashita 490 Glow marking lit under UV
490 Glow
A 490 nm glow marking on the back — the wavelength squid perceive most brightly. It gives a second, independent visual trigger for the times UV alone is not enough.

Shallow and Super Shallow types. Blue-eye, blue-feather versions that sink at roughly half and a third the standard rate. Over shallow weed — which is where the better southern calamari sit — a slower drop keeps the jig in front of them for far longer before it fouls.

Size Weight Length Sink rate
2.5 11 g 75 mm ~5.0 sec/m
