VARIVAS Super Tippet Master Spec II Nylon Tippet 50m
Master Spec has been the nylon tippet Japanese fly anglers reach for without thinking, and the Master Spec II is VARIVAS's rework of it. The material is now tuned size by size: the finer diameters are built to turn a dry over cleanly at the end of a long leader, while the heavier ones are kept supple so a nymph or wet fly drifts naturally instead of swinging on a stiff hinge. For tailwater browns on the Tasmanian lakes, Snowy Mountains rainbows or spooky high-country stream fish, it's the everyday spool to keep in the chest pack.
Smooth Tech Coating. A PFOA-free, non-fluorine water-repellent finish cuts surface friction and water uptake, so the line keeps its strength and knots seat smoothly over a long day. It makes the biggest difference in 5X and finer, where a waterlogged tippet starts to sink a dry. A second NON coating protects against UV and abrasion.
Little things that matter on the water. A patented marker shows when 10 m is left on the spool, so you're never caught short mid-hatch. The UV- and moisture-proof biomass pack (10% plant-based) keeps spare spools fresh in the bag.
