Avani Eging Max Power PE X9 is a nine-strand braid designed around one thing: seeing and feeling squid on the drop. A CORE-INPUT construction runs a core through eight Max PE strands, which gives the line a moderate stiffness that dramatically reduces guide wraps and air knots over a full day of jerk-and-fall. VARIVAS's Vertical Braid process keeps stretch to about 3% and the line arrow-straight, so you stay in contact with the jig in cross-winds and tide.

See the bite. The falling bite marker, a white base with purple and pink marks every 2 m, lets you watch the line for the tiny tick or pause of a calamari grabbing the egi on the fall, even at dusk. An SP-TII coating keeps it durable and low in water absorption for crisp jerks hour after hour, whether you're working Port Phillip's weed beds or the gulf jetties of SA.
